Saint Thomas Aquinas #10505
Welcome to the Columbiettes Auxiliary of Saint Thomas Aquinas #10505! Please have a look around and learn about the Columbiettes, what we do and, if you are a Catholic woman 17 or older, maybe you want to prayerfully consider joining this group of Catholic women bonded together by faith, friendship and goodwill.
We are located at 1400 Suther Road, Charlotte, NC 28213. General membership meetings are typically held the 2nd Monday of the month in the gym of the Family Life Center at 7pm. These meetings are for members only. There are 2 open meetings per year, to which all Catholic women, ages 17 and older, are invited. Please check the calendar of events for details.
The Columbiettes host a variety of activities throughout the year. From care packages for veterans on Veterans Day and a baby shower to support pregnant women in need, hosting a craft/vendor/bake sale, helping the Knights of Columbus with Operation LAMB and Lenten Dinners, to attending Mass as a group and communion breakfasts, we strive to help our parish and community whenever we can as well as to build lasting friendships amongst ourselves.
How to join the Columbiettes:
Membership in the Columbiettes is open to women ranging in ages of 17 years and older who are practicing Catholics in union with the Holy See. A practicing Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of God and the Precepts of the Church. The first step to joining the Columbiettes would be to contact one of the Officers and/or attend one of the Open Meetings (either March or October). You can then take your First Degree during the meeting in April or November. The next and final step to becoming a full member of the Columbiettes is to take your Major Degree.
